lambrettas are handy. whip the wheel off split the rim and stick a tube in. inflate with MTB gas inflate’r. and off you go in 20 mins or so . .no need to throw the tire away either . . why don’t bikers stick tubes into bike tires when they are punctured, save a whole load of cash . .mind you have to be able to get the tire off. which is easy if there are 2 of yous. get your mate to run over the side of the wheel hanging over a low kerb and off it pops . . just a hint . . .
thanks atlas, im going on a road trip soon and this is one of my biggest concerns, especialy in the desert.
also is the repair a short temp one until you change the tyre or a permanent one as the nearest and only place i can get mine changed charges a bloody fortune
i need to plug my tubeless moped tyre, mine wasnt a pin/nail, but a tube about the size of a nail.. couldnt believe it… took it out with a pair of pliers and the hole is nice and neat, bloody thing

Try Pilot Road 2s, the 1 series you have on is craptastic, series 2 will last about as long but shittones more grip.

I bought a cheap $10 cigarette lighter powered pump and ripped off the bulky plastic case that encloses it.

2 weeks. Owch. That sucks. Does anyone warranty motorcycle tires? I bought my car tires at Sam’s Club and paid an extra 30 bucks for an extended warranty. They’ll replace punctured tires and rotate for free for like 3 years.
Anyway, this job is a lot easier to do if you have a center stand or like a Pit-Bull. Especially if your tire completely deflates making the bike want to fall over.

yes it works fine for motorcycles,I never plug sidewalls,to much flexing.But as per Safety Seal told me,for motorcycles they are fine,just follow instructions.
Thanks. I’ve never heard of Safey Seal. I just looked at safetyseal[.]com and they don’t seem to talk about motorcycle tires at all. Does it work for motorcycle tires?
to repair as good as knew,plug it ,then remove tire,trim plug to surface on inside,then use a inside patch.but for everyday driving,the plug will hold up fine,just dont go road raceing on it.
it seemed to work ,but trust me,I spent 20 plus years working in the dealers,Safety seal are the best,last forever,dealers use them
man I just had to plug my rear tire 1st day after getting it mounted I find a screw made it through the left side tread making 2 holes!!! errrrrrr!! I dont think the plug will hold up and im broke as a joke
those plugs are fine for riding,avoid high speed long term riding
