Gas Powered Scooter – Four Model’s Reviewed and Compared With One Reaching 118 MPG
Now that gas prices have passed $4.00 a gallon, I have decided to take my energy conservation ideas one step further. I have started looking into gas powered scooters. I was amazed at the differences and affordable cost with some models getting close to 118 mpg. That really peaked my interest, so I started researching.
The first model I found (no preference just the first one) was called the Road Boss 250. This certainly didn't look like the moped's from my day, that barely had enough power to make a hill. This model is a sleek high tech design. This gas scooter is one of the largest on the market with dual shocks for added comfort and a smooth ride. The front shocks are dual hydraulic and the rear shocks are chrome dual.
The Road Boss 250 gets outstanding gas mileage for such a large scooter, averaging 76+ mpg. With top speeds of 70+ mph this scooter can voyage anywhere. With dual front and rear disk brakes, plus DOT and EPA approval this scooter is meant for anyone who is serious about saving gas, but swiftly hitting the road.
What about someone like me who just doesn't need that much of a machine? I found the Cyclone 50. Unlike the Road Boss 250 with it's explosive power and large frame, the Cyclone 50 can reach speeds of up to 40 mph and gas mileage at an unbelievable 118 mpg. This 4-stroke engine has a new age high tech sleek look that can reach up to 40 mph. Maybe not the machine for everyone, but sounds perfect for me.
The third and fourth scooter I took an interest in was the Sunshine 50 and Sunshine 150. The Sunshine 150 is the faster replica of the Sunshine 50. This bike has quicker acceleration with speeds of up to 60 mph. They both are considered reliable, comfortable and up to the minute vintage in style. All of them include standard headlights, turn signals, break lights with convenient storage below.
Gas scooters are very inexpensive and I have seen some priced as low as $300.00. If you are interested in seeing pictures of the gas scooters I have just described, I have placed them on a little web site for you to view and compare. Remember gas scooters are environmentally friendly, need no registration and are relatively inexpensive to buy and maintain.
